Warranty
Last updated: Aug 12, 2026
At Tassie Car Hoists, we stand behind the quality of the products we sell. This Warranty Policy explains the manufacturer's and/or seller's warranty coverage for eligible products and how customers can make a warranty claim.
1. Warranty Coverage
Products purchased from Tassie Car Hoists are covered by the applicable manufacturer's warranty, where a manufacturer's warranty is provided with the product.
Standard warranty period: 24 Months
The applicable warranty period may vary depending on the product. The warranty period for a particular product will be stated on the relevant product page, product documentation, or provided with the product.
The warranty generally covers defects in materials and workmanship that occur during the applicable warranty period under normal use and operation.
2. What the Warranty Covers
Subject to the applicable warranty terms, warranty coverage may include:
- Manufacturing defects
- Defective components
- Faults caused by defects in materials or workmanship
- Parts that fail due to a manufacturing defect during the warranty period
Warranty coverage is subject to the product being installed, operated, maintained, and used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and specifications.
3. What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The warranty does not generally cover damage or faults caused by:
- Normal wear and tear
- Misuse or abuse
- Accidental damage
- Incorrect installation
- Installation by an unqualified or unauthorised person, where applicable
- Incorrect operation or use
- Failure to follow manufacturer instructions
- Modification or alteration of the product
- Improper maintenance
- Use outside the product's intended purpose or specifications
- Damage caused by external circumstances
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
- Damage occurring after delivery due to customer handling or storage
Additional exclusions may apply under the manufacturer's warranty terms for a particular product.

- Your full name
- Order number or proof of purchase

Once we receive your warranty claim, we will assess the reported issue.
Depending on the circumstances, we may:
- Troubleshoot the issue with you
- Request photographs or videos
- Arrange inspection of the product
- Arrange repair
- Provide replacement parts
- Provide a replacement product
- Provide a refund
- Provide another appropriate remedy
The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature of the fault, the applicable warranty terms, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
6. Warranty Repairs and Replacement Parts
Where a warranty claim is approved, we may repair the product or supply replacement parts where appropriate.
Estimated warranty repair timeframe: 7 business days
Repair and replacement timeframes may vary depending on product availability, parts availability, freight requirements, and the nature of the fault.
7. Replacement Products
If a product is replaced under warranty, the replacement product may be the same model or an equivalent product where the original model is no longer available.
Any replacement will be provided subject to the applicable manufacturer's warranty and Australian Consumer Law.
8. Manufacturer Warranty
Some products may be covered directly by a manufacturer's warranty.
Where applicable, the manufacturer's warranty terms may provide additional information about coverage, exclusions, warranty periods, and claim procedures.
If a manufacturer requires a warranty claim to be handled directly by them, we will provide the customer with the relevant information and assistance where appropriate.
9. Australian Consumer Law
This Warranty Policy does not replace or limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Australian Consumer Law provides consumers with certain guarantees that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by a business.
Depending on the circumstances, if a product does not meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund, or another remedy.
These rights apply regardless of whether a manufacturer's or supplier's voluntary warranty has expired, where the law provides a remedy.
